- Kitchen
With a traditional dining area for 2, the kitchen is well equipped, including oven, hob, microwave, Lavazza coffee machine, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Tea towels, cloths and dish liquid are provided. A freezer and tumble drier are located in the outbuilding.
- Lounge
The cosy lounge has a comfortable sofa and armchair with river views to the front of the cottage. A lovely cosy real flame gas fire keeps the cottage a bit warmer for those colder evenings. Gas central heating keeps the cottage warm.
- Bedroom
The comfortable kingsize bed with100% cotton bed linen is just delightful. Cosy and luxurious yet bright, the bedroom is complete with a window seat with river views.
- Shower room
The spacious shower room has a walk in shower, with sink and vanity unit, wc, radiator and a heated towel rail. Towels, all 100% cotton, and dressing gowns are provided for your stay.
- Dressing Room
This lovely room with views to the rear of the property, has a wardrobe, dressing table and full length mirror, giving the luxury of space for getting ready, wether it is for a day on the fells or an evening meal.
- Private Patio
Enjoy a private seating area at the rear of the cottage, a lovely sun trap wich is fully fenced off to keep your dog close by. Enjoy peaceful river side seating and views from the front of the cottage, watch the world go by as the River Eea flows gently by.
- Secure Equipment Storage
With Grizedale Forest just 25 minutes away, and several Golf Clubs within driving distance, secure lockable equipment storage is available at Lavender Cottage in the outbuilding. Its also a good space for hanging that wet rain gear!
- Free Wifi
Free WIfi is available throughout the cottage.
- Check In / Out
To give proper cleaning time to allow the cottage to be prepared for your holiday, self check-in from a secure key code box is from 4pm, and check-out is 10am on the day of departure.
- Parking
Parking is roadside, a quite country lane, just a very short walk over the beautiful historic bridge from the cottage.
Lavender Cottage is cleaned for your stay using natural cleaning products wherever possible.
About Us......
We live only about 15 minutes from Lavender Cottage, and we love where we live! John is from Windermere and I - Helen - grew up near Windermere.
Having left for a while to live abroad, we returned in early 2019, along with our son and daughter, back to an area where we have lots of friends and memories. John is a green wood-worker, and I work in healthcare, fitting in a bit of free time in when we can!
The South Lakes is a very beautiful place, and whilst this (almost) secret little corner of it is away from the crowds, it is well located for everything South Lakes based.
