...getting to Lavender Cottage

With access from the M6 at Junction 36 to the A590, following the signs for Grange-Over-Sands. Turn off the A590, continue following signs into the centre of the Village, then signs for Flookburgh and Cark-in-Cartmel.

Lavender Cottage is really well connected to Public Transport if you should want to leave your car at home. Cark station is just 5 minutes walk from the Lavender Cottage on the Furness Line, which then links to the Main Coast West Line, where there are trains running from Glasgow to London, from Lancaster. There are also direct trains to and from Manchester Airport.

Buses also run regularly through the village although possibly easier to take the train to Grange and access from there, with Buses running to Windermere, Ulverston and Coniston as well as Kendal.

The nearest Airports are Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow, althought there maybe some flights from Blackpool and Carlisle.

Several local Taxi firms operate around the area too.
